10 Ways To Save Water

1) Take Shorter Showers- Taking shorter showers will save a lot of water. Look into getting a shower radio, and set a goal for how many songs it will take for you to take your shower. (Example: “I will take a shower and be done before three songs are over.”)

2) Check For Water Leaks- Water leaks may seem small, but they waste a ton of water. Check all your pipes for leaks, and if one is leaking, fix it immediately.

3) Don’t Flush Trash Down The Toilet- It may sound silly, but flushing items or even a lot of toilet paper down the toilet uses about 5 to 7 gallons more of water.

4) Turn Water Off While Brushing- While you are brushing those teeth, make sure the facet is not running. This will save a lot of water.

5) Use The Dishwasher- Washing dishes by hand may seem eco-friendly, but it actually uses more water then the dishwasher.

6) Install Water-saving Shower heads- These products are great if you want to save water!

7) Only Water Grass When You Need It- Watering your lawn when the grass doesn’t need it is not only harmful for your lawn, but also for the environment. Do the favor of cutting back on how much you water your lawn.

8) Use A Broom When You Need To Clean Off Driveway- When there is dirt or any other substance on someone’s driveway, they always seem to grab for the hose to wash it out. DON’T. Just use a broom instead, and you will save a lot of water.

9) Do Not Use Garbage Disposal As Much- To operate, these Garbage Disposals use a lot of water.

10) Do Not Run Hose When Washing Car- Use a bucket of soapy water and a sponge instead to save a lot of water.
